Dr. Agulnick's Background
After graduating with honors from the University of Florida, Dr. Agulnick received his M.D. from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, graduating in the top 10% of his class. After an Internship in General Surgery, he completed his Residency in Orthopaedic Surgery at the State University of New York, Stony Brook (receiving the Award for Outstanding Academic Performance for 2002 and 2003). Although it was not required, he went on to complete an additional Fellowship at Beth Israel Spine Institute in Adult and Pediatric Spine Surgery.
Since completing his education and training, Dr. Agulnick has been widely published and sought after as an authority in his field. He has contributed to book chapters, published multiple articles in medical journals, served as a lab instructor, and presented at many industry events. In addition to his private practice as a back surgeon, he is the Acting Chief of the Division of Orthopaedic Spine Surgery at Winthrop University Hospital in Mineola, New York.
